Dino Piranha is a boss in Super Mario Galaxy fought in the Good Egg Galaxy and the Boss Blitz Galaxy. He is a purple piranha plant with yellow orange petals and a dinosaur like tail.
The Boss Battle[]
When Mario is launched to Dino Piranha's planet, he lands on Dino Piranha's egg, cracking and breaking making him angry. Dino Piranha then starts chasing Mario around the planet. As he's about to swipe his tail at you, jump or take damage. Mario can pull back on Dino Piranha's tail, release, then hitting him. This takes three hits. It releases a Grand Star once defeated.

- The Dino Piranha shares his boss theme with Tarantox and Fiery Dino Piranha.
- There is a similar boss in Super Mario Galaxy 2 called Peewee Piranha who has his famous roar.
