Good Egg Galaxy as it appear in the game.

Mario flying to the Good Egg Galaxy.

Good Egg Galaxy is the second galaxy that Mario ventures in the first game. It is the first galaxy within the Terrace dome and the first galaxy with a total of six stars. It is a galaxy which, unlike many of the others in the game, does not have a set theme like bees, flipswitches, water race, bowser fight, space, grass, etc. Rather, it mainly consists of multiple small planets and a variety of different themes that usually contradict each other. Because of this, it is arguably the most 'true' galaxy with no set theme, but you could also say the same for Gateway Galaxy. The galaxy starts on a planet with a garden and a house on top and a castle at the bottom. Dino Piranha and King Kaliente are fought in this galaxy.

Planets

Starting Planet

The Starting Planet consists of a small house, a tower, three pipes, four octoombas, a lucky block, and four bridges that stick to the ground. In the Dino Piranha power star and the Dino Piranha speed run, you must use the wooden bridge on the "light side" to get to the top of the tower on the "dark side". On the tower there is a luma who turns into a Sling Star, which leads to a Launch Star, which will take you to the Boulder Planet. In the Snack of Cosmic Proportions power star, you have to move onto the rocky bridge on the "light side" to get to a short area on the "dark side". You must get passed two octoombas to get to a blue luma. The luma will turn into a few Pull Stars that lead to a Launch Star, which takes you to the Yoshi Egg planet. In the King Kaliente Battle Fleet power star and the Luigi on the Roof power star, either the Launch Star or Luigi is on top of the small house. There are two ways to get on top of the house ; you can triple jump, or you can go through the orange pipe on the "dark side". The pipe takes you to a rainbow-colored-brick cube with a question mark coin in the center. Touching the coin will spread rainbow music notes all over the cube - collecting them all gives you a 1-Up Mushroom. Another orange pipe is on the top of the cube which takes you to the top of the house. There either Luigi will give you a power star or a Launch Star will bring you to the Spiky Coconut Planet. This planet is in five out of six (83%) of the Power Stars in this galaxy and is the planet that appears the most in this galaxy. (This planet is not included in Purple Coin Omelet.)

Boulder Planet

A planet shaped like a tan peanut with boulders rolling around. You need to find five star chips to generate a launch star to the Green Brick Planet.

Green Brick Planet

A flat green planet with a brick in the ground, a question mark coin on the underside, an octoomba, and a piranha plant. You must jump on or spin toward the piranha plant to reveal a vine that leads to the Bitten Apple planet. The question mark coin adds star bits to the planet. Also, you need to go to this planet in the power star, "Purple Coin Omelet." It is also one of the planets you can go to in the "A Snack of Cosmic Proportions" power star to collect more star bits to the hungry luma with. In those stars, there is a launch star on the planet that leads to the Yoshi Egg Planet, but in that launch star's path their is yet another launch star that brings you to the Red Rock Planet.

Bitten Apple Planet

This planet represents a bitten apple as for its shape. You jump to the top left corner and you will land on a dissolving green platform. Jump to the top left corner again and you will go onto a platform with a green pipe which will bring you to the Flipswitch planet. The bitten apple is covered in boulders that try to knock you off the Bitten Apple planet and into the black hole. At the top of the bitten apple is a pink piranha plant, which you have to spin coconuts at. When you beat it, a long leaf stem appear that will bring you to the Block Climbing Planet.

Flipswitch Planet

The Flipswitch planet is a planet that has a series of flipswitch puzzles that either lead to another flipswitch puzzle or a Launch Star that gets you to the Block Climbing Planet.

Dino Piranha Battle Planet

This is the planet where you will fight the Dino Piranha. It is a small, brown planet with a gigantic white egg with yellow and green splotches. When Mario breaks a crack in the egg, the Dino Piranha's tail will stick out of the egg and wattle around the planet. This is where the battle starts.

Red Rock Planet

You only need to go to this planet in one power star ; Purple Coin Omelet. It is one of the planets you can go to in the "A Snack of Cosmic Proportions" power star to collect more star bits to the hungry luma with. It is a small red planet with boulders on it. There is a launch star on the planet that leads to the Green Brick Planet, but in that launch star's path their is yet another launch star that brings you to the Yoshi Egg Planet.

Yoshi Egg Planet

This planet resembles a giant Yoshi egg. There is a hungry luma on the planet which asks for one hundred star bits. To get these, there is a chain of launch stars which take you to different planets to get more star bits. When you get one hundred star bits, the hungry luma will burst with snack happiness and then transform into the Hill of Hungry Luma Planet. Also, you need to go to this planet in the power star, "Purple Coin Omelet." There is a launch star on the planet that leads to the Red Rock Planet, but in that launch star's path their is yet another launch star that brings you to the Green Brick Planet.

Hill of Hungry Luma Planet

The Hill of Hungry Luma Planet is a planet a hungry luma creates. You must get to the top of a hill with spiky plants, goombas, octoombas, boxes, spring plants, and more! There is a hidden 1-up mushroom behind three spiky plants. At the top is a Launch Star that brings you to the Puzzle Pill Planet.

The Puzzle Pill Planet is shaped like a see-through glass pill. You must break the ice crystals because one of the ice crystals has a hole under it that lets you into the pill-shaped glass structure. You have to get to the top of this gravity-defying pill-shaped puzzle planet to get to a launch star that brings you to Triple Stars Planet.

Triple Stars Planet

Triple Stars Planet is shaped like a sunflower-colored star outline. There are blue star chips around the planet. Collecting all five will create five pull stars - each on a point of the star outline. A power star is in the middle of the star shape, and you are supposed to use the pull stars to nab the power star. You can also long jump to grab the star.

Spiky Coconut Planet

When you come to Spiky Coconut Planet, a toad will tell you that the spiky plants hate coconuts. You have to spin toward coconuts to knock them into spiky plants, destroying them. One of the spiky plants will reveal a sling star that will propel you to Pokey Coconut Planet.

Pokey Coconut Planet

You will be launched to Pokey Coconut Planet from Spiky Coconut Planet. Pokey Coconut Planet has one big Pokey which you have to kill by spinning the coconuts into the Pokey. After the Pokey disappears, a launch star will take its place. This launch star brings you to Bullet Bill Electric Cage Planet.

Bullet Bill Electric Cage Planet

You will start in a little area of electric walls You must avoid the walls until you reach a cannon firing bullet bills. When the bullet bill starts to follow you, you must lead it to a glass cage with bent rusty iron beams. When it explodes the cage, it will reveal a launch star that will bring you to Octoomba Airship #1.

Octoomba Airship #1

You start on an airship. Octoomba Airship #2 only about twenty-five yards away. Two big gray octoombas are on Octoomba Airship #2. They will fire coconuts at Octoomba Airship #1. If you spin the coconuts toward the octoombas, they will ricochet back to the octoombas. Then they will disappear. Once both octoombas have disappeared, a bridge will come down and lead to Octoomba Airship #2

Octoomba Airship #2

Once you take the bridge that came from Octoomba Airship #1, you will end up on another airship which has a launch star that will take you to the King Kaliente Battle Planet.

Power Stars

Normal Stars

The Dino Pirahna is a power star where you fight the first boss of the game. You start on the starting planet. You must use the wooden bridge on the "light side" to get to the top of the tower on the "dark side". On the tower there is a luma who turns into a Sling Star, which leads to a Launch Star, which will take you to the Boulder Planet. You need to find five star chips to generate a launch star to the Green Brick Planet. You must jump on or spin toward the piranha plant to reveal a vine that leads to the Bitten Apple planet, and using the question mark coin adds star bits to the planet. Their are two ways to pass this planet. Way one is to jump to the top left corner and you will land on a dissolving green platform. Jump to the top left corner again and you will go onto a platform with a green pipe which will bring you to the Flipswitch planet, which has a series of flipswitch puzzles that either lead to another flipswitch puzzle or a Launch Star that gets you to the Block Climbing Planet. At the top of the bitten apple is a pink piranha plant, which you have to spin coconuts at. It has a few octoombas blocking the rocks you must climb. You will fall and break a crack in the Dino Piranha's egg, the Dino Piranha's tail will stick out of the egg and wattle around the planet. If you spin the black ball on the Dino Piranha's tall, the egg shell will crack and the Dino Piranha will run toward you, trying to trample you. You have to find a way to swerve and spin the black ball on the tail before the Dino Piranha turns around. When you hit the tail, some of the flower petals on its head will fall off. It will then run faster. The second time, its face will turn redder. The last time, it will stumble around as if it were dizzy, then falls down with its tongue out. The power star will then appear on the planet.

A Snack of Cosmic Proportions

In this level you encounter your first Hungry Luma which needs one hundred star bits to transform into a new planet. It is the first planet with a power star where you don't have to fight a boss. You start on the starting planet. You have to move onto the rocky bridge on the "light side" to get to a short area on the "dark side". You must get past two octoombas to get to a blue luma. The luma will turn into a few Pull Stars that lead to a Launch Star, which takes you to the Yoshi Egg planet. There is a hungry luma on the planet which asks for one hundred star bits. You start on the starting planet. The Launch Star is on top of the small house. There are two ways to get on top of the house ; you can triple jump, or you can go through the orange pipe on the "dark side". He will fire both fireballs and coconuts to beat him. You must avoid the fireballs and spin to ricochet the coconuts back to Kng Kaliente. Sometimes he deflects the coconuts back at you. The second time you hit him, his crown will fall into the lava and become angrier at you. After he gets hit by the coconuts three times, he will sink back into the lava. The power star will emerge from the lava and onto the lava crater's shore, where you can grab it.

Secret Stars

Luigi On The Roof

Another orange pipe is on the top of the cube which takes you to the top of the house. Up there is Luigi.

Prankster Comets

Dino Piranha Speed Run

A speed run of the Dino Piranha level. All you have to do is complete the Dino Piranha level, except with only four minutes to complete it. If the timer runs out before the level is completed, you will be murdered.

Purple Coin Omelet

The first purple coin level. Travel around to find 100 purple coins. This is the only planet where you do not start (or even come to) the starting planet. You start on the Green Brick Planet. You must grab the 100 purple coins which you get by travel through the string of launch stars you originally use to grab star bits to feed the hungry luma. If you start on the Green Brick Planet, the most likely route you will take is to take the route where you take the purple coins on the Green Brick Planet, then use a launch star to get the purple coins in the air, then grab the coins on the Yoshi Egg Planet, then use a launch star to get the purple coins in the air and get the coins on the Red Rock Planet, then use a launch star to get to the launch star to get to the purple coins in the air and come back to the Yoshi Egg Planet. Then, use a launch star to get to the launch star to get to the purple coins in the air and come back to the Red Rock Planet. Then use a launch star to get to the launch star to get to the purple coins in the air and come back to the Green Brick Planet, where the power star should now be. This is most likely the last star you get in the Good Egg Galaxy, and you most likely will never come back again.
