The Slipsand Galaxy from the Starship Mario
The Slipsand Galaxy is a galaxy that is in World 5 in Super Mario Galaxy 2. Unlocked after Mario completes the Space Storm galaxy and grabs at least 42 power stars including the Space Storm Galaxy's first one, it consists of 2 levels, a Prankster Comet level, with 3 green stars. Its icon shows a pyramid that has a slide with sand. Completing this galaxy is not required to unlock any new levels by itself. A giant lizardlike creature called the Squizzard makes his home here.

Mission 1: Squizzard's Sandy Sinkhole[]
Mario has to make his way to Squizzard's planet and face off against him.
Mission 2: Sailing the Sandy Seas[]
Mario has to make his way to the planet with a river of quicksand and ride a sand bird-like craft.
Prankster Comets[]
Squizzard's Daredevil Run[]
Mario and the Squizzard face off for the second time. and the former cannot take any damage!
Planets[]
Starting Planet[]
This planet is long, with a serpentine structure. Possessing standard Gravity, it has a sand flow that is constantly moving from one of its ends to another. There are also fiery hazards here. In the first mission, the sand flow leads from the south pole to the north pole. In the second mission, it flows south. Skeleton Koopas can be found here, but their leader, Dry Bones, is absent, due to his defeat in Bowser Jr.'s Fiery Flotilla. This is the only planet in the galaxy that does not have any deadfalls that cannot be escaped.
